I thought they would look both more European and East Asian like. But I think they wouldn't be out of place in West Asia especially those guys in the first picture.

These guys from the top picture resemble very much Caucasus people i.e. from Chechnya, Dagestan.
In North-east Poland we also have small Tatars minority

the 'east-asian' phenotypic heritage is very low as a whole, except in some few individuals. as a whole, surely close enough to post IA South-West-Central Asian mix. But I said that on the hot, it deserves more analyse.
