Question about CHG admixture; there was some details that I felt were left out.


Abstract:


Let?s get to the meat and potatoes here. It says here that CHG makes up 15-25% if Yamnaya genome. CHG admixture is also connected to both YDNA J2b and Gedrosian Admixture; Dodecad 12B.
Problem is that Gedrosian Admixture (in Europe) is concentrated specifically in R1B dominated countries but almost virtually absent in West/East Slavic Countries; yet Ydna J2b dominates in the Balkans but is virtually absent in the British Isles, Scandinavia, Northern France and North Italy; and also spills over into Poland/Ukraine.


Question:


*Since J2b and Gedrosian Admixture do not overlap; yet are both apparently connected to CHG. Is there any chance that CHG Mtdna contributed to into the Gedrosian Admixture?


*If CHG Mtdna did influence the Gedrosian Admixture; when did R1b tribes come into contact with CHG tribes?


*When R1b did come into contact, did the R1b tribes come into conflict with CHG tribes and took their Woman?


*If there was no conflict, is there another reason why Ydna J2b and Gedrosian Admixture is not consistent?

Caucasian Hunter-Gatherer (CHG) admixture, making up about 15-25% of their genomes. This admixture is mainly associated with Y-haplogroup J, and indeed one J* sample was found in Mesolithic Russia. It has been confirmed by ancient DNA that J2b was found among Neolithic farmers from East Transcaucasia (in this case, northwest Iran), and there is convincing evidence that these J2b farmers crossed the Caucasus to settle in the Volga-Ural region during the Early Neolithic.


No modern populations possesses a similar genetic admixture as Yamnayans. Among modern Europeans, the CHG admixture found in Yamnayans is most common in the Northwest Europe, but absent from Northeast Europe. Using the

The Gedrosian admixture was not found at all in Mesolithic or Neolithic Europeans. Ancient DNA tests confirmed that it was found at high frequencies among Proto-Indo-European people from the
=Maciamo;613213]Yamna culture (? 30%), and was spread west with the Indo-European migrations. It is especially linked to Y-DNA haplogroup R1b, although its distribution in Asia correlates more with Y-haplogroups G, J2 and L.
