You can paste the coordinates here to see it in the 3D PCA

Took the coordinates of their top25 ancient matches (obviously some are shared ) but I don't know how to "read" a 3D PCA.. I can sort of understand by the placements in the 3d space if something is a part of a cluster of similar samples or not but I don't know how to read the trends that show up in the placements.
Can someone help me by providing a commentary of the results ? thanks in advance

@lacreme, they are very Greek :)

Plotting in the range of modern Cretans, and some Coriell. The Dodecad G13 sample labeled "Greek" looks be be more representative of Thessaloniki.

Indeed, that was always the problem with that sample; all the samples were taken from Thessaloniki. There wasn't even one from the Peloponnese, for example.

We've been saying here for years that it was misleading, but the usual suspects just wouldn't accept it.

Thank you Jovialis !
I wonder if the Greek average on global K13 is ported over from eurogenes K13 because the Greek average on it has the same attributes... It clusters with northern/northwestern Greeks and Albanians...

To my knowledge, Dodecad used what was the only academic sample available at the time, which was indeed Thessaloniki. It also used the data of its own volunteers, which means it's the luck of the draw.

We now have lots of samples from the Peloponnese, for example, so we know more about the differences among Greeks.

Once again, thank you Jovialis

FYI,

You can obtain your coordinates for Dodecad Globe 13 from Admixture Studio. The calculator is not on GEDmatch or GEDmatch Genesis.

Jovialis: I bought Admixture Studio (go my unlock key) to run the various calculators they have with all the nice graphs. It seems when I rean Dodecad 13 I counted 14 population parameters, is that correct. Also, it will only let me upload my NAT GENO data which is in an excel spreadsheet format. I can't upload my Ancestry data.

I am sure it is a user error on my part, any suggestions.

Thanks, PT

Edit to my own post, there is a Ratio % that is included so that is what I think is the 14th population parameter I was seeing. So that is not included in the 13 needed to run the data you put together for us. I do believe.

Jovialis: Great work again, My single Distances < 10. Using my NAT GENO results for the first time. Admixture studio can estimate mine which is in Excel format (GEDMATCH can't).

Salento: Good list with Dodecad Global 13. Lots of overlap again among you, Jovialis and myself. Out of 4,000 samples that Jovialis put together (great work again!), I changed the gradiant to make it easier to read all of those samples so that is why all mine < 10 are in green.

I assume you got your Global 13 coordinates from Admixture studio. I went ahead and got the Pro Unlock. Some neat calculators there and as I noted in my post above, their programs read my NAT GENO data, which is in excel format with no problem.

I ran the free version, ... I’m El Cheapo :)

... you mentioned NatGeo,

... up to 10 dist., NatGeo dod K13:
(NG top sample is R835, vs R58 with Combined raw-data),
... but R58 tops the Single ran
