This recent trend toward getting rid of entrance exams like the GRE or SATs is extremely dangerous in my opinion. It flies in the face of both science and common sense. Who wants to be treated by a doctor who got into medical school this way and then was pushed along because of a desire for "diversity". How will these people even do in these programs, not to mention how unfair it is to those who really belong there.

Depends on whether the doctor is a clinician or a researcher. If a clinician, I really don't care what his IQ is just like I don't care what my car repair's person's IQ is. As long as they can come up with a diagnosis and the way to fix it I will not ask for their GREs.

I really have nothing to say to a person who seems to think you don't need a higher IQ to diagnose a human being's illness and treat it than to diagnose and fix what's wrong with a car.
