What Haplogroup were the Neanderthals?

Going by the current mutation rate estimates yes. Even on the contrary, some studies claim that Neandertal haplogroups were replaced by H.s. related long before Neandertals were finally replaced by AMH. However, I can't remember a good tree with H.n. and H.s. haplogroups in one.
