What's your actual European ancestry percentages?

In the ancestry test I made it showed 96% european (33% west europe, 25% east europe, 13% italy, 9% balkans, 8% iberian peninsula and 8% fennoscandia) and 4% from the arabian peninsula

No, I mean what is your actual genealogy? From which European country or countries did your ancestors go to Brazil?

That's the only way to know which analysis is closest.

My father's father's family came from Northern Italy (Trentino alto) in 1875 to Brazil. My father's mother's family is a big mix, we don't know exactly, they are from Belgian, Portuguese, Italian and Native Brazilian on one side and Italian and Portuguese on the other.

A part of my mother's family left Germany for Brazil in the middle of the 19th century. The other part was German and fled one of the wars there (also in the 19th century).

Well, your results make some sense then.

I guess so... But I still think it's kinda odd the english admixture it shows. It was also a big surprise the balkans countries and the eastern ones, no one in my family imagined we had that ancestry.

If your mother's partial ancestry of German origin actually came from East Germany, which until the 2nd World War included lands as east as what is now Poland and Kaliningrad (the Baltic exclave of Russia), the Balkans and part of the Eastern Europe admixture may simply be referring to the generally very noticeable shift toward Slavs and Balts in the genetic makeup of East Germans and especially the German diaspora in parts of Eastern Europe, people who were culturally and ethnolinguistically German, but often had a lot of ancestry derived from Germanized Slavs and Balts (e.g. the Old Prussians).

It makes a lot of sense, I'm going to talk to my grandparents to see if they have any idea what part of Germany our ancestors came from. Thank you very much for your explanation.
