this is a linguistic map .............seems fine .............the Umbri dominate ( pale blue as they are all proto-umbri tribes )...............the only issue is that we have no north-picene on the map......as italian scholars state , the north picenes was a Liburnian colony from circa 1000Bc to about 400 to 600BC when it changed linguistically to Umbri

I have added the average for 23 samples from Early Bronze Age Serbia (from Zegarac 2021, contemporary to the Unetice culture further north). Thanks again to Jovialis for providing the samples.

EBA Serbians were closest to modern Bavarian Germans (distance = 6.8), followed by Northeast French (7.9) and Italians from the Aosta Valley (8.1). So, in other words, they match modern populations around the Alps (NB: no modern Swiss K12b available). Looks like a Proto-Italo-Celtic population. However they carried Y-haplogroups R1b-Z2103, J2b, I2a1a and I2a1b, which looks more typically from the Balkans than from Celtic populations. I suppose back in the EBA the people from the Balkans (be them Proto-Illyrians, Proto-Greeks or others) were still autosomally close to their Proto-Italo-Celtic cousins and that they drifted later with all the successive waves of migrations to the Balkans.

Iapgians come from next to Liburnia

The region was known to the Greeks of the 5th century BC as Iapygía (Ἰαπυγία), and its inhabitants as the Iápyges (Ἰάπυγες).
