They should not understand it...............Italian is formed out of the regional Italian languages by first Dante in the 13th century and in the 16th century by Bembo

Italian is not part of the Vulgar-Latin group which is the regional languages and they used all Roman letters including J and K ( as examples ) , Italian does not use these letters unless they "borrow" the word , like Judo or Juventus
