Torta di patate, porri e cipolla.

This is my last cool weather dish, from about two weeks ago. I loved it so much as a child, and a couple of years ago I dug out my recipe and made it again. Still love it, as does my family. Just imagine creamy, garlicky, oniony mashed potatoes with a slight tang, encased in a crispy crust. It's heaven hot or cold. This is just one of the many savory tortas we make. It's sort of a specialty of northwestern Italians, and especially Liguria and areas surrounding it.
