I got the ''Worrier''

Several lines of evidence suggest that genes involved in dopamine (DA) transmission may contribute to creativity. Among these genes, the catechol-O-methyltransferase gene (COMT) and the dopamine D2 receptor gene (DRD2) are the most promising candidates. Our previous study has revealed evidence for the involvement of DRD2 in creative potential.

Despite the negative connotation to the word “worriers,” these people are at certain advantages as well. They are known to be:
- more creative
- have higher IQ
- better motor skills
- better verbal memory and reading comprehension
- a more positive outlook towards life

How do I check for these genes, do I use a program, with my raw data, or a website, etc?

Try this website https://www.yourdnaportal.com , go to where it says health. I think they might have it, register and upload your data. I never used it. I got mine from some old site but I haven't used it in so many years and only used it once. I'm trying to find out what it was called again. Maybe this site above is actually better or maybe it's the same just different name etc.

Maybe 23andme also has some of these things.

I guess I have both lol.

"People with your genotype are heterozygous, this has multiple associations

Heterozygous, one copy of each genotype "The Warrior gene" versus the "Worrier gene". (AG) Multiple associations."

Are you surprised ?

Somewhat, I would think most have one or the other, but I can't seem to find out how common or uncommon it is to have both. When I googled it, I found some studies, but they counted AG and AA together as A/-

Doing more research I found a study saying 34% of Europeans have the Warrior gene, but I don't know if this is counting only GG or AG as well. Then, I saw another article saying Ozzy Osbourne has both, and that it's "extremely rare". Yet I found some more studies, showing AG was just as common as GG and AA?

Maybe someone with better research skills can find out how prevalent the three types are
