Interesting, because we know from this pre-print that Natufian is more than a quarter Taforalt. We also know that the Natufians are heavily Anatolia_N-like (Dzudzuana). Therefore why do the Ancient Greeks who are purported to have a respectable amount of Levant_PPNB (similar to Natufian), get such a negligible/trace amount of Taforalt? (Only among a few samples too, while most get zero.)

i know you don't like g25
but Minoan_Zakros I14916 bronze age it is the only minoan who score levant ppnb 6.8%
in davidski calculator
it could be though that is just overlapp of anatolian genes
who were also part of the ppnb genome

I know, but Dodecad K12b is not good for modeling ultimate source populations that far back in time. Probably because they fall outside the realm of modern (mixed) populations.

If that was the case, and perhaps it is, it would also mean that the opposite could have happened for other samples, anatolian swallowing ppnb.

could be i can't rule it out
but given the geographical distance from crete to actual levant
more likely it is the other option

we could also ask how is the calculator able to assign 6% PPNB to that Minoan if there is no Taforalt?

if we assume that levant PPNB was 10% Taforalt that would mean that a populations which is between 10-20 Levant PPNB would only have around 1-2% Taforalt.
perhaps these calculators aren't really able to detect these admixtures reliably.

Certainly possible, ideally we would use the same tools as the researchers.
