We summarized the analyzed paternal lines on the basis of the Hunnic, Avaric, Conquering Hungarian article by Tibor Török and his team, and to our great surprise V13 was the paternal line with the highest proportion in the Middle/Late Avar period. From the 65 middle/late avar sample 17 was V13 (and 2 was V22)

Here is the hpg ratio of Huns/Early Avars/Middle and Late avars/ Conquering Elite/Conquering commoner samples. I try to show it.

It is also interesting that in the Avar age there is hardly any I1, R1b-U106 and I2, but they are common in the conquering Hungarians - and in today's Hungarians as well.

Hi Kuzmosi, do you have the Y-haplgroup for the following individuals? In Anthrogenica they were categorized as preserved south Thracian profiles:

Code:
Germany_Medieval_Straubing-Bajuwarenstrasse_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):STR_300
Hungary_Medieval_Avar_Period_Early_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):I16750
Hungary_Medieval_Avar_Period_Early_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):I18185
Hungary_Medieval_Avar_Period_Early_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):SZK102
Hungary_Medieval_Avar_Period_Middle_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):ALT224
Hungary_Medieval_Conqueror_Period_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):SZOD376_(Commoner)
Hungary_Medieval_Lombard_Period_(BA-IA_Southern_Balkan_Profile):SZ19

Hi Paleorevenge!

I only know those who were analyzed by the university lab in Szeged, with whom I also work.

SZK102 is our archaic sample from Szeged-Kundomb. 620-660 AD Early Avar. This sample is also on Yfull. id:ERS9945244. He came from an ancient V13 subbranch.

https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-Y84931/

Autosomally he is an outlier, a southern european:

SZKper102SZK-102Szeged-KundombEarly avarEU_cline (outlier)outlier (Southern European)
mtdna: H6a1a

ALT224 was a big surprise, (we nicknamed him: the irish avar) from Alattyán-Tulát. 670-710AD Middle Avar. He is R-FGC925, an R1b-L21 subbranch. He is not on Yfull.

https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-A7607/

R1b1a1b1a1a1c2b2a1b1b1a1b2a

mtdna: H1eb1b

autosomally:

ALTper224ALT-224Alattyán-TulátMiddle Avar
100%EU_Core1

EuCore1 is one of the 5 autochthonous (non-Avar and non-Hungarian) genetic cores identified in the Avar and, conquering Hungarian populations of the Carpathian Basin, which shows a connection with the northern Balkans and the Roman-era Pannonian population.

SZOD376 from Szegvár-Oromdűlő, 1050-1100AD (conquering commoner) E-PF2252/etc*(xL17,BY6059,BY5224,Y7028,Z5016,Z37882,Z42778,BY6600)

i.e. it belongs to the same hpg as SZK102, only from more than 400 years later.

mtDNA: H6b

autosomally:
SZODper376SZOD-376Szegvár-OromdűlőConq. commoner 100%EU_Core1

that is, autosomally, it is not an outlier in the Carpathian basin, but belongs to the same EuCore1 with Late Roman Imperial and North Balkan connections as ALT224.

The other 4 samples were not excavated and analyzed by us, I don't know more about them.

Thank you so much. I have used some of these profiles in a model for Albanians using AD populations. It's good to see my assumptions are not just that, assumptions, what I am calling a Thracian profile are indeed E-V13.
