Abstract

We present a comprehensive genetic investigation of Late Neolithic (LN) and Early Copper Age (ECA) populations living in the Carpathian Basin, leveraging whole genome data from 125 previously unreported individuals. Using population genetics, kinship analyses and the study of networks of identity-by-descent haplotype segment sharing, we elucidate the social and genetic dynamics of these communities between 4800-3900 cal BCE. Despite changes in settlement patterns, burial practices, and material culture, we document a high degree of genetic continuity. While one set of individuals we analyzed from a large community cemetery was genetically diverse, another site was more homogenous and closed, with numerous consanguineous relationships and evidence of patrilineality and patrilocality. These results document radically different kinship systems in contemporaneous ECA communities using similar material culture and living only about 100 km apart.

4 E-M78 samples that old is a pleasant surprise. Only one is identified as E-L618 in the study but one is E-Z1919 xV13. It's likely that all 4 are L618 but we'll see.

I hope they are added to the FamilyTreeDNA tree as soon as possible. It's interesting that they are present at a low but consistent amount in the 3 better sampled locations.

we see those e-L618 cases in ancient Europeans again and again
as much as like e-m123 is Levantine from head to toe
this e-L618(ancestor of e-v13) is European from head to toe ( ancient Bulgaria, ancient Croatia, ancient Hungary western Romania, ancient Iberia,
, ancient west Ukraine, ancient Austria )

You cannot compare the two, E-M123 is much much older at 17000 years old and has many diverse subclades. There are subclades within E-M123 that are of Levantine, South Arabian, Eastern Africa, Central Asian, European for thousands of years. So it does not make sense to say it is Levantine from head to toe.

E-V13 is much younger at 5000 years old and has an origin that is connected deeply with Europe in all its subclades. So it makes sense to say it is European from head to toe.

ok i except
Its not a good comparasion completely
Different ages
also different geographical distribution of those two downstreams of e1b1b1

P.s
How do you think your e-v13 arrived to the persian gulf region (qatar )?
European traders?
Lost macedonian greek soldiers ?

I never saw the postscript, I'm guessing it was edited on January 5th.

I have my own theories... but let's say I prefer to let the data talk, and that we could be getting this data soon 😁
