according to the History Channel,, DNA evidence may show that the most infamous and elusive serial killer of all time was a woman and maybe a mid-wife.

Jack may have been Jill the Ripper-LOL!

going by this link, it's even one possible explanation as to how the serial killer had such anatomical knowledge


(but keep in mind the stamps and letters they used for DNA samples MAY have been from the killer......or may not have been, either.)
 
I think that the premise that any of the letters sent to the police are likely to have been from Jack the Ripper is a faulty one. The best explanation for them is that they were pranks. So they're likely looking for DNA in the wrong spot, not to mention on something that has undoubtedly been contaminated over the years.

To be honest, the only modern Jack the Ripper theory I've read and found convincing at all is Martin Fido's Nathan Kaminsky/David Cohen theory. No chance of confirming that with DNA, though.
