One dates to the Israelite period, and one to the Hellenistic period. Quite a coincidence that they should be discovered at the same time in different locations. I doubt even the Israelite period one would have been made by Jews, given the strictures against making "graven images".

HAIFA, ISRAEL—The Times of Israel reports that two figurines depicting horse heads uncovered by recent heavy rains have been discovered at separate locations in northern Israel. One of the figurines is thought to be about 2,800 years old, and the other around 2,200 years old, based on their styles. The older figurine, which dates to the Israelite period, was found in the Beth Shean Valley. Its bridle and reins, and the left hand of a rider were marked with red coloring that is still visible. The yonger figurine, recovered at Tel Akko, dates to the Hellenistic era. Red pigment was also used to depict reins and a harness on it. Adi Erlich of the University of Haifa said horses in the Levant during these periods would have been associated with strength and military might, and would have been used for travel rather than farming. Statues of horses were thus likely to have been created to honor the rider, she explained."

Uh-oh, people might be going for the Galilean-not-Jewish Jesus hypothesis on Stormfront right about now...

It is odd though, especially if the dating is correct. The 2800 ybp figurine can somewhat easily be explained, as Judaism wasn't the same at all as it is now (which is broadly speaking Second Temple Judaism, so from the 6th century BCE). What's interesting is the military might link - that really isn't something you'd associate with Jews (who even well before Christ already had a substantial "merchant" population), so not sure what to think about it. The idea of Adam Sandler riding on a horse, spear in hand, doesn't ring true to me aha

What stereotypical thinking, and stereotypes from before the creation of the modern state of Israel. I don't think the Israeli Defense Forces are second to any when it comes to military capability, for Mossad in terms of intelligence services, as they've proved innumerable times.

They look like Adam Sandler types to you? :)

As to the ancient world, I guess reading the Old Testament wasn't part of your upbringing? No perusal of the battles of Joshua to take control of Canaan? Never read the sagas of Saul and later David? Of course, at some point in the 9th century there was religious ferment in the Jewish domains. King Ahab and his Phoenician bride Jezebel were returning many people to worship of Baal, or at least tolerance of his worship, to the great fury of Elijah, so who knows, perhaps Jewish craftsman did create the one from around 2800 BC? It took the Prophets a while to get everyone in line.

Once again, very surprised that someone who claims to be Jewish know so little of the Jews, Jewish religion, the scriptures, and on and on.

You don’t think that I’m Jewish? I’m some Nazi t-roll using the Jewish tag as cover on a random online forum? I’m actually a third(?) generation Holocaust survivor technically (grandpa lived during the war but hidden as a baby so not sure if that counts), but that sort of thing really annoys me when it obviously had no impact on my life, so yeah - not a Nazi, even if I find their adopted symbol interesting. Jews are the most white collar people in history, period - it isn’t just a stereotype. I can hardly imagine ancient Jews on horseback with weapons in hand, subjugating local populations, can you? The Adam Sandler thing was a joke, by the way...

If you want to know if someone is Jewish or not online as you’re paranoid they’re a Nazi in disguise, I’ll provide a test for you. Ask them about the connection of a three-digit number and Tzitzit. Only someone who went to Cheder would know the answer without spending a good few minutes if not longer googling, and even then chances are they won’t give the answer in enough detail as to justify the connection. You can see how long it takes you to find out what it is - it isn’t something hard to grasp as kids learn it, but it’s just something I thought would be vague enough as to not easily get picked up by Google straight away.

Some people are Blinded by BIAS in one area, and Resentment towards another; in relation to aspects of their Ancestral Background.

Totally!

My Grandfather always had horses. (Never stand behind a Horse, and don't spook it. Yep lol)
