I didnt get update yet, however what i found is that I got around 30% NW european, and then when I looked at the relatives there, its was mostly my cousins that were expats there, some who had mixed with locals that I personally know.
That was suspicious for me, but the balkan part was spot on

Totally agree. This update is only good for people with very diverse ethnicity.

This is a lot more accurate now as before they didn't have enough reference samples so people were getting ancestry they didn't actually have and many people were attributing this to ancient ancestry. Ancient ancestry is part of the modern population who have long term ancestry in a country so these odd results are obviously due to inadequate reference populations. It is a good start by MyHeritage but they still have obvious problems to iron out. For South Americans they have obviously mixed people in their Indigenous categories for starters. Anyway Europeans appear to be getting more accurate results.

Too much smoothing, therefore people with 4/4 ancestry usually get more accurate results, people with mixed ancestries or with suboptimal references get more often erroneous results than before.

I believe that the people who take care of cultural research on MyHeritage should have been more careful when choosing the songs that will represent the ethnicities in the videos. The music that represents the Portuguese ethnicity is not from Portugal, but from Andaluzia, Spain. It is a song recorded in Spanish by the artist Tijeritas, the artistic name of José Soto Cortés (Málaga, April 15, 1964). Tijeritas is a Spanish flamenco-pop singer born on Calle de los Negros, in the Cruz Verde neighborhood. Belonging to a family with a flamenco tradition, "Los Viscos", and he reached the big time by fusing flamenco with pop in a peculiar way. The title of this song is “Te Voy a Contar un Cuento (Sevillanas)”. These are the complete lyrics of the song and the part highlighted in bold is what was used in the MyHeritage single as if it were someone singing in Portuguese:

Your result will probably change after myheritage have aupdated them, i dont know your ancestry, but you will probably gain more balkan and less of this nothern dna, if your parents are not half scandinavian or eastern european hehe
