an interesting branch of e-m123 among albanians
specifically under e-m123>m34>z841;)

E-M123 is the tenth most common haplogroup among Albanians today, accounting for about 1.1-1.2% of all paternal lineages in the project, but some of its branches have high concentrations in different regions. The lineage E-M123>Y4972>Y328959 is found densely throughout the Sharr Mountains region. So far, it has been found in Topojan, Turaj, Belë e Kollovoz in Kukës, in Shipkovica in Tetovo, in Nikaj in Kaçanik, and in a Serbian family again from the Sharr area. Outside this region, it has only been found in one Albanian family from Tirana and one Serbian family from Bosnia.
After some of the families underwent high-resolution testing, it was determined that the time when the common ancestor of these families lived is about 1300-1400 years ago. Also, two branches have been discovered so far: in one there are two Albanian families from Kukës and Kaçanik (originating from Luma), while in the other there is an Albanian family from Tirana and two Serbian families.
The ancient origin of this lineage must be related to movements from the southeast, no later than Antiquity (perhaps even earlier) as a skeleton from Zara of the 2nd-3rd century AD is under another branch of E-Y4972 in the FTDNA tree, and modern European lineages are related to Asian ones at around 2500-5300 years. Most likely, the Y328959 sub-branch managed to survive the fall of the Roman Empire and the period of invasions in the Sharr area, from where it later spread. Given the time of spread in the early Middle Ages and the higher diversity among Albanians but with some sub-branches in surrounding peoples (these probably originally spread as Vlachs, before Slavization), Y328959 resembles some of the main Albanian paternal lineages.
A curiosity about Y4972 is that Napoleon Bonaparte's family also carries this paternal line, and according to the FTDNA tree it is about 5300 years away from the Y328959 sub-branch found among Albanians.

personal side note:
From my point of view it is a shame we don't see this interesting branch at ftdna big-y700 block tree and at the ftdna discover tool
The reason is all the samples in Rrenjet
Project were tested with dante lab or with
yseq not with ftdna the reason
Could be that ftdna is more expensive
At least we do see e-y328959 at the yfull tree🤔
