I'm a bit more right-wing on the other
Political Compass Test.
Two of the most salient questions for me:
I
strongly agree that genetic modification of human beings is a must. (Necessary step in human evolution to create a new and better form of humanity)
I
strongly agree that technology and robotics must be used to advance society. (Necessary to throw off the albatross of servile labor, and provide abundance; so humanity can pursue
arete)
All other concerns are secondary or superfluous to questions of the future. They will be ultimately resolved by these pursuits.
techno-accelerationism best describes my main beliefs, with genetic engineering resolving most issues with regards to disease, and disability (physical and mental).
For example, climate change which is indeed important, will be resolved by advancements in technology; more efficacy, less reliance of massive populations (biggest contributors), the ability to work tirelessly to restore the environment.
This need not be exclusionary, or fascistic. As scarcity and living space can be expanded to once uninhabitable domains, such as oceanic, and celestial bodies. Mass immigration, and population explosions, which are the main drivers of social discord and apprehensions today could be resolved by enriching impoverished nations abroad via cost effective automated labor as aid. Large out of control procreation can be contained when large families are no longer necessary for poor farmers or capitalism to expand. People will be able to choose the life they want, and live in peace.
