Some of this seems right based on personal experience, i.e. professors are extremely liberal (their indoctrination, imo, is the cause of the snowflakes over-running American universities), and so are teachers, who were indoctrinated by liberal humanities professors, doctors are more centrist, leaning right, as are engineers, accountants are pretty centrist, business people who actually make things and have to deal with real life problems are more conservative.

Lawyers being so liberal surprises me. Certainly that's true, in my experience, with trial lawyers generally and certainly criminal defense attorneys, but most prosecutors are not particularly liberal, even if they're socially liberal in terms of things like homosexuality etc.

I can tell about the situation in Italy: if political election were to be held only inamong newspapers journalists ( in tv situation is more balanced), the left (PD) would win nearly 90% of the seats. Sad but true.
