Paperwork? What paperwork?Albruic posted this on Discord this morning:
All the paperwork is done. Now we just have to wait for things to get normal. Don't worry, everyone will be notified when we get back up and I am planing a new event where everyone can participate! It's going to be fun

The above quote is the last thing I’ve seen from him on the subject.Did Albruic post any more updates on the status? If the domain is suspended and he didn't renew it, it generally doesn't take longer than 24 hours to renew it and get it back up and running. If that's the case now, what happens a year from now? The year after that? I have a feeling it'll just close down out of nowhere at some point, similar to Anthrogenica. I believe we need a permanent alternative, one which is crowd sourced / crowd funded and won't close down.
All these forums cost money to host sadly. But domain renewal is cheap compared to forum server cost. I wonder what the real reason is here, maybe they got hit with a subpoena for sharing journal paywall academic papersDid Albruic post any more updates on the status? I haven't seen any update on it. I'm surprised more people aren't questioning what's happened since the forum was pretty popular. It would be nice if the owner could make an official explanation. So, it's been a while since it went offline. Any updates? Is it coming back?
That's rare and very unlikely to happen unless someone was charging others to view papers they themselves bought from an academic source. All these forums cost money to host sadly. First Anthrogenica and now Genarchivist. What a shame. Why can't we have nice things?I haven't seen any update on it. I'm surprised more people aren't questioning what's happened since the forum was pretty popular. It would be nice if the owner could make an official explanation.
