So I'm on the island of Wolin right now and there are lots and lots of German tourists here.
But, what is interesting, all of these German tourists are White! No "New Germans" here!
Why do you think is this the case?
It is wonderful to be able to enjoy your vacation in your own country or while traveling abroad. Make the most of this time, which should always be filled with leisure, joy, peace, gastronomy, sightseeing and culture. Peace, joy and fun. This is always what goes through the mind of a tourist when traveling. No one wants to be a victim of any type of violence, whether urban violence or violence resulting from discrimination. Tourists tend to avoid places that have a reputation for violence. No one wants to run the risk of being robbed, mugged or even shot. Tourists also avoid places where they may be victims of hate or discrimination because of their ethnicity, religion, gender or national origin. Foreigners are always in a vulnerable position because they seem different, especially if they are not white and do not speak the language (or speak it poorly or speak with a different accent). Even whites have been the target of discrimination in parts of Europe, especially if the community to which they belong, in the minds of local nationals, represents a threat to their culture, their customs, their jobs, their ethnicity or their language. The real tourist has no intention of immigrating: he/she entered legally, has a round-trip ticket, proves financial capacity for the intended length of stay, has hotels booked for the entire period of the trip, has health and accident insurance, and has dollars and euros to spend in cash or with a credit card. Perhaps non-white German citizens want to avoid being mistaken for illegal immigrants, even though the preferred destination for illegal immigrants is always an Anglo-Saxon country, using other EU countries as a means of passage. Perhaps out of fear of foreign immigration (including Europeans) and in an attempt to maintain a United Kingdom for the British, the English voted overwhelmingly to leave the European Union, have returned with strict border controls, have never wanted to join the Euro, are not members of the Schengen Area, require other Europeans (except Irish) to present an Electronic Travel Authorization - ETA (a fancy name for an e-visa), hate Ursula Von Der Leyen and the bureaucracy of Brussels. When I mentioned xenophobia and racism against white people in Europe, I remember that even Poles with their Nordic appearance were victims of hate attacks in the UK during Brexit. The Polish cultural centre in Hammersmith, London, was spray-painted with offensive graffiti. Poles are the largest foreign-born community in London and in the UK as a whole, there are 800,000 Poles. The UK has a population of approximately 67 million, while London has a population of around 8.9 million. I don’t think 800,000 people is a big deal for such a populous country and such a populous, diverse and cosmopolitan city as London, but when it comes to xenophobia, insane hatred speaks louder than reason.
