Oldenburg.
Introduction
50 km west of Bremen, Oldenburg is the historical seat of the eponymous duchy. The House of Oldenburg gradually ascended the thrones of Schleswig-Holstein, Scandinavia, Russia, Greece and the United Kingdom, making it one of Europe's most influential Royal Houses.
Unfortunately the city doesn't have much to show for it, apart from its charming late Renaissance castle, housing the interesting State Museum.
