Yes my results are pretty normal for a balkan person,and surely my mother does not have these results.My father will probably do one so i will see.My question is, do i inherit some italian ancestry or its just balkan ancestry that is labeled italian because of the genetic similarity?

It's splitting hairs, mate.

You have a southern element from your grand-dad and the rest of you is typical for a Balkan result. The oracle would attempt to give you all possible combinations to accomodate this. Another extra 25% from a Pontic grandparent, for example, would put you next to Mani and Crete. Now you hover a bit in no man's land (in oracles), in real life your mix variation is quite common.

Doesn't seem a bit strange to you that peoples from Sterea Ellada plot with Slavic Macedonians? I would expect them closer to Peloponnesians

It's a very small geographic distance, why would it be strange.

It depends on his family's circumstances. There's slavophone villages today all the way down to Katerini, what's few more blips south.

Typical Bulgarian-Balkan variation result for Northern Greece that didn't mix with Anatolian Greeks (diaspora results are often like this since their communities were close-knit).

You are quite far away from the Southern/Mediterranean Greeks (11+).

But the second one is Thessaly not too far away from Bulgarian. I wonder if there was a population movement in the Byzantine ages, from Thessaly to Eastern Thrace. I don't think Mainland Greece has significant real Italian ancestry.

The problem is that we don't have enough data/academic samples from Central Greece. We know historically that in these places existed in late Byzantine and Ottoman era significant numbers of Arvanites, Vlachs and other nomadic groups but without a genetic research I can't make a good estimation. I would just guess a south mainland-like profile with less Steppe ancestry

No such history as far as I know. In the 2 way a 51% Bulgarian and 49% Thessaly is not the least squares solution but it is the most believable at 3.53.

But you are closest to Northern Greece and Albania samples. Also When they say Greece and Southern Italy they don't necessarily mean that you are part Italian. Similarity does not mean direct ancestry. Maybe you share a common ancestor with a Greek emigre to Southern Italy 2800 yo ago.

MH estimations are terrible on Italian vs Greek &South italian ,I wouldn't take their estimations seriously on this part

I'm from Central Greece(all of great grant parents were from Nafpaktos subregion) and my closest matches are Peloponnesians.Haven't see so far any people from CG ploting that close to SMs.
Comparing to me Kari has higher Steppe admixture(probably cause of the sarakatsan & northern roots)
