popolazione arrivera' a 61,3 mln


(ANSA) - ROMA, 28 DIC - Numero di stranieri in aumento in Italia: passera' dagli attuali 4,6 milioni ai 14,1 milioni nel 2065. Lo stima l'Istat nel report sul futuro demografico in cui segnala che nel 2065 la popolazione totale sara' di 61,3 milioni (minimo 53,4, un massimo di 69,1). L'età media aumentera' dai 43,5 anni di oggi a 49,8 nel 2059. Gli ultra 65enni, oggi pari al 20,3% del totale, saranno piu' del 32% nel 2043. In calo invece gli under 14 anni, oggi al 14%, che decresceranno al 12,4% fino al 2037.


the ethinc italians will be no more than 77% of total population reseding in Italy... if not less counting the citizenship acquisitions and ius solis on immigrants... so maybe less than 60% of original ethnic italians... bye bye italians!!, in another 50 years, i bet there will be 0% of the original italians in italy..

i think immigrants are sometimes usefull, but 23% is too much, in too few years.

i don't know if it's a good or bad thing, certainly i hope the immigrants will take our mentality, that is the most important thing, i don't want a multicultural italy, a multicultural italy is worse than a multy ethnic italy, for sure

Permanent acceptance of emigrants should be based on cultural merits mostly, and in manageable quantities, so it doesn't effect a character of a country. Especially in countries where immigration is not needed or required like Italy.

Having said that, what you described is very close to "how Rome was created". IE Latins, Asiatic Tuscans, Greeks, Gauls from North, multitude of slaves from around the empire, Jews and later Germanic invasions. It took over 2000 years of multiculturalism to create fairly uniform country we call Italy today.
Maybe it is Italian destiny to mix and mix all the time? Could be the location or a fate?

you are right
italy doesn't need all this immigrants, and beside that italy is called that way because it's the land of Italians, it's not like usa or australia.. i think all thise immigrants should go in countries like usa or australia, countries that have their existance on immigrants...

we have always been a monoethnic and monocultural country... for 3.000 years, and given that the affinity of the pople composing ancient italy was grater than the affinity between it's modern inhabitants and extra communitairs immigrants, expecially the muslims

we can give our culture and our good economy, which is partly derived from our culture to all this immigrants, only with small numbers of immigrants.
more than ethnic mixing i'm more afraid of cultural mixing, and accepting muslim cultures
