Considering the low diversity and general absence of M343 in most other Central Asian populations, and Western China being unlikely to be the source of any Caucasian haplogroup, it is not likely that M343 originated there. But we know of several Caucasian tribes which resided there like the Tocharians. M343 in Uygurs is most likely the trace of this.

While West of the Caspian the occurence of M343 is much more widespread.
