Interesting, I think this is because O is attributed to the hunter gatherers while A is attributed to the farmers, Europe was very much influenced by the A types, while the Americas closed to A before the rise of agriculture.

That's interesting. Seems like everybody was group O some time ago, then new mutations popped up in central Asia, and has spread from there to the rest of the world.
