Your Traits - yourdnaportal.com

My results. Some of them surprising, others plain wrong: I am by no means of "average height" by European standards. I am assigned "reduced memory performance", when that has always been about my only one cerebral asset. I am a "lactose intolerant" individual who drinks milk by the gallon without any digestive problem. I am supposed to be of "impaired muscle performance", when my main occupation outside my job is lumberjacking, an activity at which, by their own admission, I rival experienced professionals. It just goes to show that genetic analysis is not the last word of everything.

Hello hrvclv.
I agree with you. Genetic tests are not infallible and give us only a prognosis based on statistical inferences obtained from the comparative analyzes of the results of thousands of individuals in tests carried out in accordance with pre-established standards in order to avoid contaminations or deviations that could compromise irreversibly the quality of results. The results of the samplings will then be applied to a whole group or a whole population, after a rigorous technical audit to validate the final results. Some inferences are better than others, and more recent works often appear to overturn theses that have been kept as untouchable dógmas for years. The principle of uncertainty will always be present. The best way to detect lactose intolerance is through of an examination in a laboratory of clinical analysis and not through a genetic examination. Genetics indicates only a possible predisposition to intolerance and not a intolerance itself. Many genetic keys are not activated during a person's whole life. It depends much more on the exposure or not to certain physical, biological, environmental, chemical factors, among many others. For example, to say that a redhead person may be more disposed to skin cancer is not the same as saying that he will get skin cancer. You said yourself that you have an athlete's physical biotype and above average height. The way we were created, fed, exercised, that is, environmental factors, often has more effect on the end result than genetic predisposition. They say that someone's average height is determined by the average height of their parents. If it were this way, I would be of medium height, but I am a tall person, just like all my brothers. We certainly had a much better nutritional and environmental condition than our parents. I do not want to say that my parents went hungry, I just want to emphasize that I and my brothers and sisters had access to nutritional conditions much more favorable than those that our parents had in their childhood and youth.
A big hug dear friend:)

I made pottery as an adult child, I do other things, but mud is in my mind. It is a botijo for all Spain, the Andalusians we call "búcaro" has the ability to cool the water and lower the temperature by 15 degrees. Principle of evaporative cooling. The principle is the same one that the human body uses to cool down. In the inside it cools more than in coastal areas. It is believed that its origin is in the Neolithic. It should not be painted or varnished because then it will not perspire and would not lower the water temperature.

The picture because it is a small child but that is the correct way to drink from the botijo.

Yes Duarte as a curious item or gift or decorative object there are also very eloquent.

@Carlos.
Fantastic. Beautiful and efficient. You really have the soul of the ancestral artist who used the art allied to the technique to guaranteed fresh water for the children, even on the hottest days of the year. Congratulations to my dear artist friend, who seeks inspiration in the soul and art of his ancestors. Big hug :)

I'm only positive for 1 on this platform.

That reminds me, Insitome says I learn like a Neanderthal.

I wonder if there’s an association with my QUESTIONABLE :) “Poor Memory” results located on Post #4.

... Shared versions of genes associated with visual learning, memory and cognition that suggest similarities in the psychology of modern humans and Neanderthals...

Associated Genes: GALR2 + 13 more, RELN, NGF, GRIN2A, GLP1R, OXTR, TANC1, APBB1IP, OXT, CHST10, MUSK, CYP7B1, SLC6A4, IL1RN

These genes play roles in how you think. Primarily they are associated with visual learning, long term memory, and cognition. The most variants are found in TANC1, a center of visual learning.

Also, for Genomelink my Memory Performance could top 100%, completely TRUE :)

Yes. I imagine you should be happy. You have always said that you would like to have some Uralo-Altaic ancestry and even glimpsed the possibility of existence of words of Altaic origin in the old Iberian languages. Again, congratulations :)

The Iberian women celebrate the victories dressed in red raising a trophy in the shape of a bell-shaped glass to the sky. It is believed inheritance of an ancient town that inhabited Iberia in ancient times. These tireless women performed euphoric dances in which they emit songs and shouts in a trance typical of his uncivilized people.
