Admixtools My qpAdm Results Please Share Yours!

Here's what I get with your 3 selected populations:

Same model with Iran_N:

The addition of Iran neolithic improves the fit for me. I'm curious to see if it improves yours too.

I'd prefer using Anatolians from Turkey itself rather than Greece if the goal is to create a Steppe, ANF, WHG model.
Try Iran Ganj Dareh instead along with the Latvia LN corded ware to be a perfect comparison to my results.
I kept getting an unrealistic steppe percentage with Barcin ANF, so I switched over to Greek ANF. It was something like 51% steppe.

Oh, also, my Z-Score fails Iran_GanjDarej_N.AG. Z-Score is a measure of how statistically significant an admixture source is.

Z < 3 = you don’t have that source.

You bring up a good point. I'll look into it

Some weird models. I’ve been trying out an Iron Age split for myself:

The best run so far. I forgot to include the P-value, and unfortunately lost the rights to this model.

With the P-Value included. Managed to recover the original screenshot. IMG_1607.jpeg

I haven’t found a passing 3 way Iron Age model for myself in qpAdm. I’m testing with qpAdm for the near east admix I get with other admixture models in 2 way and 3 way from g25, illustrativeDNA, and from mixed mode 2 way oracle from Eurogenes k13 and Dodecadk12b. I’m still testing/experimenting but I think the near east admix is a real part of my genetic makeup. I don’t believe it’s solely from the Neolithic. I believe it’s multilayered and not recent( within the last 500) years. Likely sources would be near east gene flow to the west Mediterranean during the Hellenistic period- Roman period then movement from the Mediterranean to northwest Europe during Roman era.

This model rejects Anatolia_N

Has anyone found the genomes for : Egyptian_Old_Kingdom_Period_Gizeh:I6409, Egyptian_Old_Middle_Kingdom_Period_Dahshur:I10020,

ChatGPT says these samples come from the Scheunemann et al 2017 study. I can't find them.

There was another study, Morez et al 2023, and the sample from the Old Kingdom was called NUE001
I can't find this one either.

Why are you being so modest for? haha. This model is excellent in my opinion :)
I don’t really know. I’m still working on it - I want to get the standard error down to sub-7%. I’m fairly close, Germanic standard error is at 7.23% and the continental Celtic standard error is at 7.47%

I’ve finally made a model that passes by my criteria:

It doesn't like Morrocco EN for me:

With your suggested right populations, I had tested with Sweden IA 2 + Egy TIP to see what the results would be:

Try it with a three-way model between Denmark_IA.SG, Scotland_IA.AG, and Czechia_IA_Hallstatt.SG

Denmark_IA.SG only has VK521 and VK532 in it.

Another Steppe, ANF, WHG model. This time the ANF is one that has higher Natufian admixture

My results:

1742954960104.png

Modeled with Turkey_N. Not sure in turn what the Natufian admix is for Turkey_N
