But then youre saying that it is us (the every day citizen) who dictates what is newsworthy. I agree with most of what youve written but I cant agree with that.

It might be true that we like to read about exciting happenings in life but dont you think wed be satisfied with every day hero stories - like how your next door neighbour punched out a would-be purse snatcher?

I think part of the problem is that the most important happenings around the globe are too complicated for any reporter so they fill in the gaps with what their employer sees as encouraging his/her own prejudice and then leave it to "followers" of that prejudice to perpetuate the myths spun by the media. Well, that might be the explanation but it is by no means the excuse: there is none as far as Im concerned and the results are deadly. Truely deadly.

Actually, Id go so far as to say that "fry bread" and "langos" are the same thing. The difference being that with langos you cover it with shredded cheese and toss a dollop of sour cream on the top. My wife is from Slovakia (once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) and she serves it up about once a month. Hot-diggity-dawg!!!

But most Hungarian food (as you probably know) has bell peppers in the ingrediants. They love the stuff and they get the balance just right, which not many other cultures know how to do.

In any case, we in Sweden have an intensive modern-day history of taking in refugees and yet it is only now - with the masses of Arabs - that we are suffering the malady you describe.
