When I say Latin I think they were a Illyrian Thracian mix that is what I have heard I don't know how to describe Thracians really? Are they to do with Greeks or Italians more?Illyrians weren't Latin. Where did you get that?

Ok thank you. If it helps according to a haplogroup test I did my SNP match up to H Pioneers H2a2a1Its not entirely certain if the Messapii were Illyrians, but the Latins were definitely not Illyrians.
