I know about the pile dwellings in venetic areas.............it was very difficult to cross from the north side of the Poe to the south side due to high water ..........about 6km wide ............but this is from late bronze age

Wow that's exciting. I had long thought that the Italic peoples had some connection to the Terramare and their expansion to other parts of Italy was related to the demise and eventual dispersal of that culture.
