This argument, just proves that the theory is wrong, or at least French as a distinct language was never centum. And not only French, but English, Spanish, Portuguese basically half Europe.

Problem is : we are no longer talking about prehistoric times. Latin and French are written languages, and always have been. Their evolution can be traced back all the way to their beginnings, with rock-solid evidence for each and every change over 2600 years. It is not a matter of conjecture (not to say wild fantasies).
