The Gretzinger study basically shows that the modern English (not all the modern British) are a 3-way mix of Iron Age Briton, Anglo-Saxon and a French IA-like element. The last-named is mainly in south-east Britain while northern and western Britain with Ireland are the most Iron Age.
 
Modern English have about 45.5% of Germanic Y-DNA compared to 40% of Celtic-Italic-Beaker Y-DNA:
