Can someone tell me how I got such varied results in East Coast USA? I am obviously very mixed. Different tests and calculators say different things. My ancestry is from Virginia, but I have a wide mix. Can you help me narrow it down and or how I got such a huge diversity? What calculators should I post? I have Ancestry, DNA Tribes, Genecove, Geneplaza, dnaland, My Heritage, of course I can provide Gedmatch.

Different tests and calculators say different things. My ancestry is from Virginia but I have a wide mix, multi-generationally mixed. Ancestors were labelled "Quadroon/mulatto" for many generations. My father was labelled "Uzbek" when he lived in Russian but has a skin color like Saudi King Soloman. My mother was a Fitzgerald and Hart (diary of Hart 2cd great grandpa says he's "Scotch"). My mother (God rest her soul) was also multigenerationally mixed but had honey colored skin, red hair and freckles and Rh negative blood (probably O). Can you help me narrow it down and or how I got such a huge diversity?

My Father's Y haplo on 23andme is I1, his mtdna is X2b. My paternal grandmother was a Savoy, "wesort", tri-ratial isolates from VA/MD descended from pre-pilgrim settlers (others include Proctor, Queen, Gray, etc) 10 families practicing endogamy for survival. I suspect my mtdna is L2a1 basd on Wegene. We are trying to find the identity of my father's grandfather. His mother gave him her last name. He told my Dad he was white. I suspect some central Asian. My dad isn't showing Jewish on 23and me so it may be from my Mom's side. Ancestry gives me Caucus but not Jewish, but all other's Gedmatch, DNA Tribes.

My Dad's DNA from a DNA taken in 2009 called EHSTRAFD (based on STR) says:

Excuse the typos. I don't know how to edit.

Do you not have 23andMe ancestry breakdown for your dad? They are usually most precise with ancestry in the last 500 yrs. A lot of the free calculators can get much more speculative and give highly out-of-context stats in their results, by contrast.

I do know there are some highly mixed groups in the USA called Melungeons. They are active in exploring their ancestry on the Internet. Have you come across that information, or people from that group?
