I found these and thought that it was a great way to see how European perceive each others through stereotypes that made it into idioms in each language.

A lot of Europeans seem to agree that English people leave discreetly without saying goodbye. It was not mention in the French idioms, but it exists too ("Filer à l'anglaise" - "leave the English way"). The Swedes seem to think it is the French who leave without saying goodbye.

Interesting but I had never heard "andarsene all'inglese" 🤷‍♂️

Also, in Italy we say "fumare come un turco/to smoke like a Turk" to mean someone who, of course, smokes a lot.
