The sudden expansion of Y-DNA F in all the world, is a clear indication that during "prehistory" people were capable of moving continental distances and thinking big enough to conquer, not a small region, but whole surfaces of territory big as current nations.

The scientific consensus has always been that those people used to be nomadic capable of moving through long distances.
Subclades of Y-DNA F branched soon enough into haplogroups that survive to this very day, this is backed by archeological evidence that confirms the Eurasian expansion happened rapidly.

I wonder if they were thinking they were "conquering" the world?Maybe just surviving or at least living. he territory concept was maybe not so evident to them then?

The concept of territory must have been real, if not, we would have seen just the conquest of India, Africa, S. China...

If you conquer the whole world, it's because you're planning on it
