[FONT="]According to the Y-DNA testing of [/FONT]two illegitimate descendants[FONT="] of [/FONT]Prince Albert of Prussia[FONT="] (1809–1872), Geoffrey Rockel and Franz Rockel, the [/FONT]House of Hohenzollern[FONT="] would belong to haplogroup I2-Y7219 (downstream of L701 and P78). The Hohenzollern originated from Swabia in the 11th century, became Counts of Hohenzollern in 1204, then Margraves of Brandenburg in 1411, Dukes of Prussia from 1525, Kings of Prussia from 1701, and eventually German Emperors from 1871 to 1918 under Wilhelm I and Wilhelm II. The branch of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen also ruled as Kings of Romania from 1881 to 1947.[/FONT]
