In this thread I will post my parents' results once they are ready.

I shipped packages with my parents' DNA on 3 October and they still haven't arrived to 23andMe lab.

Is it normal that it takes such a long time (from Poland to the USA)?

I'm quite surprised that my mom scored more of "Czech, Hungarian, Slovak & Southern Polish" ancestry than my dad, because my dad comes from the southern part of Wielkopolska region while my mom comes from the northern part of Wielkopolska region, so my dad comes from further south.

Samuel Andrews (he is an expert when it comes to mtDNA) told me that the oldest known H1a3 is from England and dates to about 1500 BC.

He says that H1a3 was born in the Bronze Age most probably in northwestern Europe.

Does your father have any fully Ashkenazi matches? I saw minor Jewish (< 1 %) in many Poles, but always wondered about the exact origin and direction of the gene flow. 23andMe does limit the number of matches though, so its possible that many fully Jewish matches were simply cut off. But I guess a couple of them should have made it if its real.
