Exactly my point. Women are just a sexual object for you (and of course for Trump) even the once with face boobs, and you couldn't find and hate the ones who achieve something with their brains, social skills, charity, motherhood, science, politics, art and other aspects of life. Yes, deplorable. This is the last time I engaged with you in any discussion.

Do you know Trump personally to make such statement? He has a daughter and a wife and seems to live in a good relationship. What do Hillary and women have in common other than the same gender? You seem to degrade and categorize them if you associate Hillary with most women.
You seem to fall for the propaganda which portrayed Hillary as the ambassador of female rights and Trump as the sexist man who doesn't respect the other sex.
Instead of being the angry bitter little man who thumbs down all posts which you dislike (you deserve my 2 cents for that) try understand the motives of campaigns and see through the obvious propaganda which according to your 6th senses should be oblivious for you.

That's the point of a rating system, if your quote is helpful you get a thumbs up but if your quote is unhelpful you get a thumbs down. Now there is evidence on Melania Trump doing adult stuff as a model. I'm not sure if I could post sources without getting an infraction so if you want to know prof, please PM me.

Is it so bad?
I wonder why I haven't seen them yet in the press and on the internet.
Oh yes, there is so much self censorship these days that you don't see that kind of stuff.
And Trump, he controlls the media.

There is censorship on both sides I'm afraid no matter what side you are on, Democrats and Republicans have been fighting each other so much that I'm losing faith in the political party system.:useless:Sent an amateur photo taken on January 31st and links to the PMs to see what you think.

what else remained? to be elected.

Signs that Trump has strong phobias.

- He is afraid of Mexicans
- He is afraid of Muslims
- He is afraid of Chinese
- He is afraid of immigrants.
- He is afraid of people potentially cheating him, so his businesses are run only by close family, his kids.
- He didn't rent to black people.
- He wants more nuclear weapons. Obviously to feel safer.
- He wants stronger military, with even bigger budget. US already spends as much as next 5 countries together (China, Russia, GB, Germany, France).
- He is afraid that people will not like him.
- He is afraid of free press.
- He believes in conspiracy theories. Like Obama not born in USA or current wiretap accusations.
- He believes Obama wanted to get him.
- He is afraid that other countries are taking advantage of America. Not pulling their weight.
- He is afraid that foreigners are stealing US jobs. (Unemployment is below 5%)
- He is afraid US lost factories and is not producing and not exporting anything. (2 trillion dollars of goods exported last year and productivity increased 20 fold in last 50 years).
- He worries about strength of US economy but wants a weak dollar, to export more goods.
- He is afraid that his "enemy" will learn his plans and implements Presidential Orders by surprise. Like the infamous ban on Muslims, with awful consequences. "Nobody will know my plans".
- He is afraid of all the people he doesn't personally know. Thinks that everyone wants to get him.

The suffix -phobia has become a propaganda tactic to call a strong man weak. I don't see Trump having any phobias. I see a lot of Trumpiphobia though. It correlates closely with truthiphobia.

Obamacare is now a tale of two health insurance programs.
For the 85% of enrollees with lower incomes, federal subsidies make the premiums somewhat more affordable. Those even closer to the poverty line can get additional subsidies that reduce the deductibles, which can run into the thousands of dollars.
But for many middle class Americans -- a single person earning more than $47,520 or a family of four with an income of $97,200 -- the pricey premiums and deductibles mean health care coverage remains out of reach.

"The middle class are getting squeezed," said Larry Levitt, senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation. "They aren't getting subsidies and these deductibles are hard to afford."
This schism is turning Obamacare into another government benefit program for lower- and moderate-income Americans. The typical enrollee has an income of only 165% of the federal poverty level, or $40,000 for a family of four.
The real problem is that health care is very expensive, Levitt said. But most Americans don't realize the true cost because they are shielded by their employers.
Some 150 million people have insurance through work, paying only about $440 a month for a family plan, while employers cover the rest, or about $1,075.
Related: Employers push health care costs onto workers
For the 10.5 million enrollees on the Obamamcare exchanges, health insurance costs are more transparent. And more of the burden falls on the consumers. That is leaving an untold number of Americans opting to remain uninsured, rather than shell out thousands a year for premiums and deductibles. In 2015, 46% of uninsured adults said that they tried to get coverage but did not because it was too expensive, a Kaiser study found.
The big price spikes for 2017 have some current Obamacare enrollees wondering whether they'll renew their plans next year or opt to pay the penalty of $695 per person, or 2.5% of income, whichever is larger.

I am hearing a lot of scandals and corruptions associated with Obama Care. My relatives over the age of 60 is complaining that it is too expensive for them. One even wants to go back to Taiwan for retirement. Yet, every intellectual I know is telling me Obama is good Trump is bad ....

Health Care premium shouldn't be calculated in relation to someone age or health. Old and sick people would never afford to pay for their insurance. We can do that with life insurance or car insurance because it is inessential and not needed in old age. Healthcare insurance is needed by all of all ages and fitness. In Canada it is covered by Income Tax, so nobody really knows how much we pay for this "insurance". Everybody is covered from federal budget. Well, except dental and medication, but who can't afford will have these paid by social services or job benefits.

Anyway it is a mystery how come US spends double what usually is spent in the West and still fails to cover the poor.

Maybe this "private expenditure on health" means all the rich spending fortunes to keep them alive, and foreigners coming in need of the best specialists in the world? Every well off Canadian goes to US for medical services.
I'm on my way there to do variety of tests. I'm healthy, but I want to do it as prevention. I would like to know if my body ticks well, to prevent future diseases. In Canada one needs to be sick to be allowed to do tests. And paying from my pocket, beyond the insurance, for extra tests or medical procedures is illegal. I'm glad US is so close by. ;)

I did not know that. I think the US is a kingdom for strong, intelligent people. They don't need to share the wealth with the weaker ones. Somebody we know studied medicine in Canada but moved to the US for work.

A lot of experts are saying that Obama care is not the best health care but it is better than Trump's plan. However, to my knowledge, prior to Obama care, the people had a choice, to choose an expensive health care or a cheaper option. However, the Obama care forced American ppl to pay for an expensive Health care for ppl over the age of 60. The money they pay is supposed to pay for the underclass. For wealthy people they don't feel the pinch, but for not the middle class they do. Now, Trump is not able to keep his promise to change that. So, this is why they are looking for alternative countries for retirement. They have thought of Australia. Well, Australia is very expensive to move to. So, they think it is not worth it. Hence, they will move back to Taiwan.

This is from #1273. That is a year old media article. Why bring this up now? I'll address the issue more fully by replying to your last post.

I am unaware of "scandals and corruptions associated with Obama Care". Nothing of note. if there were the Red (Republican) media would be all over it. yes, Obama is good, and Trump is a narcissist.

As to the article, its quality can be judged by this quote you provided: "This schism is turning Obamacare into another government benefit program for lower- and moderate-income Americans." Obamacare (the Red name, later the Dem name too, of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, usually shortened to Affordable Care Act or ACA) is an omnibus bill that did many things. It most certainly DID provide a new benefit program for lower income Americans, and to lesser extent, to moderate income Americans. The whole point of the health care exchange SUBSIDY was to benefit those lesser income people not qualifying for Medicaid, the poor people's health care program. Typically, these are the WORKING POOR - people that either are not offered health care benefits by their employers or cannot pay for it. For this reason, the article has no credibility with me. I'll copy most of this in my fuller response.

The average for a first world country wouldn't be anything to aspire especially given the range. Canada has waiting lists for more involved procedures which is not attractive.

But, US health care expenditure is high. A few reasons it is high. Note that all these have a history and background most of which would be difficult to change.
- Too many hospitals.
- Too many specialist physicians.
- Too many physicians concentrated in urban areas.
- Reimbursement methods that are still too dependent on costs.
- Few market clearing competitive forces at work.
- An imperative for each hospital to have the latest and best technology even when it doesn't have the patient volume to keep up the skills of the physicians using them, much less cover the full costs.
- Inadequate care and services for the poor - including lack of a rationalized structure, forcing many to use expensive emergency care for what should be primary care problems.

US health care is a hodge-podge of methods that bears no semblance to a rationalized method of delivery.

Care of foreigners is not a significant line of business to affect the overall picture. So, keep on coming.

This from #1275 I'll start by saying that this Thread is well overdue to be stopped, or perhaps split in two with the pre-inauguration comments section closed and the remaining kept open under "America under Trump" - or the like.

Minty, I'll repeat what I said earlier I don't know why you would reference a year old article to kick this off this discussion of health care. I previously disparaged that article. I've addressed LeBrok's comment about health care expenditures.

This link suggests the complexity of the 'Obamacare' but it is more complex than shown there. I've decided that I won't give a significant response to your post as 1. it is complex and a response would be far more than I want to invest, and 2. this is not the appropriate platform to discuss it. And there is a 3. this is a US issue, so the world may be curious but it has no bearing on most of the planet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_insurance_marketplace

From your post: Note Obamacare = ACA as explained below. Of course the US isn't a kingdom, yet. The US does most assuredly share its wealth throughout the world/with the weaker ones, even though it need not do so. Obamacare had nothing explicitly to do with people over 60. Thump's plan is age based. The ACA is income based. The ACA had provisions for employers to keep their health plans, called a 'grandfather' provision. Many did. Some insurers, however, acting on their own, decided that they would do away with the older plans, and only provide plans meeting the ACA rules. Thus, 'people could not keep the plan they wanted', and it was likely 'more expensive'. This was not ACA. This was the insurers. Why was it more expensive? Many of the old plans did not have drug coverage, which is an expensive feature. ACA compliant plans must have a drug benefit. The charge that people could not keep their physician is fiction in that the health exchange plans were/are provided by mainstream mostly large private insurers. It would be a rare instance that that would be so.

Most of the above has been twisted and selectively discussed for political reasons. Obamacare is far better than what Trump and his Red Congress running dogs proposed.

From my post earlier: Obamacare (the Red name, later the Dem name too, of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, usually shortened to Affordable Care Act or ACA) is an omnibus bill that did many things. It most certainly DID provide a new benefit program for lower income Americans, and to lesser extent, to moderate income Americans. It is not perfect by a long shot, but the biggest social achievement is that even the poorest people are covered at same rat. This is what US should have for a long time now.
I'm pissed off at Canadian health care that it won't let me spend my private/extra money to improve my health. It is illegal, except for dentist and drugs. Also it has high disregard for preventive medicine, instead it only cures already sick.

US health care is a hodge-podge of methods that bears no semblance to a rationalized method of delivery.
Some hodge podge is good, as it might invent something better.
