Judge Barett would be a great choice. I think it is 50/50 just like 2016. I don't believe in the polls because I think there is too much sampling bias in them, most mainstream media polls always over sample Dems. I think is 2016 all over again and turnout in battle ground states will win.

She would be amazing. She wouldn't vote with the liberals of the court ever imo. And it would piss off Democrats so much if she replaced RGB. I think Democrats will destroy their party if they got a chance to freak out over her.

Looking at the current democrats its hard to believe there was a point in their history where they actually cared about workers. Where they actually understood illegal immigration depresses wages. Seems like so long ago.

This sounds bad but I find it tough to have empathy for minorities especially when large numbers of them blame all their problems on Republicans and whites. Democrats have run the big cities for 50+ years. Every minority I know is a big Trump is racist hater and thinks all Republicans and whites are evil.

That's completely alien to my experience and not at all an appropriate comment. I know a lot of black people who may vote Democrat, and we may disagree about some political matters, but they certainly don't think all whites or even all Republicans are evil.

I know it sounds like a cliche of the my best friend is... but it was my Jamaican born extremely good friend who gave us our surprise 25th anniversary party, and she's more of an aunt to my children than their real aunts. She's one of my three most "intellectual" friends as well, one of people with whom I can go to a classical music concert or opera, or share books with, or go to a museum exhibit.

Martin Luther King was right: judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin, and there are a lot of people in this country, white and black, who do just that. I would add religion and ethnicity to that too.

That's why so many people in this "hobby" drive me bonkers. Their attitudes are more than disappointing; they're disgusting and I'd even say depraved.

What I respect are even-tempered people that are able to soundly articulate their points, even if I disagree, and remain unconvinced. Obama is certainly one of the best spoken presidents. I just think his association with Al Sharpton, and his handling of the increasing racial unrest due to police shootings in 2014 was a let down. I think that is what drove a lot of white working-class people into the arms of Donald Trump.

As do I. Unfortunately the mantra "silence is violence" is gaining ground... so if you don't agree (really submit) to the ramped up crowds, you run the risk of being physically assaulted by a throng of peaceful protestors while your trying to enjoy a pleasant dinner outside of your favorite restaurant. Please review the newest batch of videos if you haven't seen this fresh tactic yet.

Things are escalating unfortunately. A few minutes ago, I accidently watched the shooting and killing of at least two people in the Wisconsin riots last night. I witnessed one head shot and one shot to the upper arm. Both of the people that were shot had been attacking a young guy armed with a long gun. Not smart.

I will say this now. If you are minding your own business and are violently attacked, you have the right to defend yourself by any means necessary. I feel bad for those who died and their families, but if you seek to do harm to another in this climate you must be prepared to accept the consequences.

After further reflection, I put less blame on those on each side of this street violence. These riots are too well organized (bussed in agitators, expensive matching protest garb in Seattle and Portland, conveniently dispersed pallets of bricks in all protest areas) to be organic. I place blame squarely on those funding this seditious behavior. How did Antifa get 1.2 billion dollars in their bank account?

These tactics look similar to what we all saw happen throughout the Arab Spring. I smell the efforts of rogue DeepState actors like Brennan and his global "upset the applecart" teams.

As for Obama's speech, it's very nice, as are many of his speeches. It's also designed to allay the concerns showing up now in surveys of suburban areas about the whole "Woke" and "Cancelling" phenomenon which is a danger to free speech and undermines the foundations of American society.

It's also irrelevant. He's not running for president. Joe Biden is running for President, and Kamala Harris, the "Princess of Wokedom" is his running mate, and he has appointed AOC, the "QUEEN OF WOKEDOM" as one of his principal advisors. The people putting on the Democratic National Convention had the good sense to only give the latter five minutes of screen time for a simple, very good reason: she's the face of the new Democratic Party, and she's toxic to their chances of taking the White House. She'd be right there making policy if Biden got elected, however.

I don't know why the ads aren't out yet. Maybe it has to do with KellyAnne Conway leaving. She was the mastermind behind the last election. She looks terrible; it must be something awful.

Anyway, there wouldn't even be any production costs. Just snip out Harris' and AOCs speeches, and the ones like the ones I linked below, the run them on a loop.

The point to what he was saying is that people on the left use the term "Racist" to disarm those who disagree with them. Not that they are actually racist, and proud of it. Who said I'm a fervid Trump supporter, or Bannon supporter, for that matter? For the first time in my adult life I didn't vote on the Presidential line in 2016; I just couldn't bring myself to vote for either of them.

That said, I find that in terms of the economic and foreign policy decisions he's made they're much better than I expected them to be. I also firmly believe that the working class in this country has taken a huge hit from the importation of cheap labor and the extreme globalization of the economy, and I want it to stop.

As for immigration, I'm an immigrant here, so I can speak from experience. We were on a list for years before my father was allowed to come, and he couldn't bring us for close to another year, and that's with both of his parents and brothers and sisters already here, and the siblings were born in the U.S. They checked him for disease (TB, venereal diseases, as they did us), connections to Communist organizations, whether he had a valuable trade and skills, whether he had enough money to support himself and us for a few months, and affidavits from family members that should he be unable to get a job they would support us so we didn't go on the welfare rolls.

We went through it, why shouldn't everyone else?

Once here you have to be willing to assimilate and adopt American values. You want to speak your "own" language at home and teach it to your kids, fine. However, when you go out into the world you use English. You want to cook your own cuisine and have festivals, great. I'd probably go. You want to marry only among your own; that's your right, although I think your children and definitely your grandchildren will have some surprises for you.

However, you have to adopt American values: support democracy and the rule of law, free speech, freedom of religion, separation of church and state, equality before the law for members of any race, religion or ethnicity, and gender as well. In other words, no Sharia Law applies, no little girls have their clitoris removed, girls are educated, and there is no underage marriage.

Honestly when you post on EUpedia even it's about an US subject you get the risk that Europeans react....And yes they have sometimes a different perspective. But one thing is sure at least in my country the US elections are constantly on the news, it's followed very very closely.
