I call this "music for the end of the world". It's Verdi's Requiem. It's a toss up for me whether I prefer Verdi's or Motzart's.
Maleth;477061]There is a long long time to go for that Angela....millions of generations yet. They are both great. While Verdis seem to be a more complex work and maybe more melodramatic, I find Motzarts requim easier to listen to and more pleasant. Its just a matter of opinion really.
It depends how soon he tires of us, or so I used to think.![]()
As to the two pieces of music, which one I play depends on my mood. I play the Verdi when I'm angry about some new outrage, the moments when I literally would look forward to the Judge coming to throw the evil into the flames for all eternity. I find it cathartic.![]()
I know this is abit of an extreme compared to these classics, but I find these oldies really change my mood. They work so well for me. So innocent and sweet.![]()
Same for me, although I usually turn to groups like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, or the Beach Boys.
I recently saw "Jersey Boys" the movie. I also saw the stage show. The show is better, but they're both a lot of fun.
I have the original cast CD of the stage show. It's great. Can't find it on youtube, but these guys are pretty good.
The original guys are the best, of course:
