I don't believe that Spaniards are gyspies. There are gyspies with the Spanish citizenship but there are also Romas with the Italian one... However Livi's thesis is absurd. I can say this becouse I live in Italy and can say that not only 9% of people have blonde hair. Maybe in Sicily. In the alpine area almost 1/2 is from light brown to blonde. However WTF cares about blondism? Why are we speaking about this now? Spain and Italy are made mostly of brunettes and our histories demonster very well that brunettes are superior (joking).

However from what I read it's like that Italy is closer to the Balkans than to Spain...

I'm from Norther Spain (Galicia) and I have been a lot of times in Italy (I love Italy). I can say you than in cities like Milan, Verona or Venice I have seen more blondes in a week than in norther Spain in a month. Sorry for my compatriots but I can not lie.
And yeah, I agreed with you: I prefer brunette women.

I do not know the situation of gypsies in Italy, but I suspect there are much fewer in Italy and maybe they dont be considered Italians. But in Spain is different, only a fool or a madman would say that the Spanish Gypsies are not Spanish. It's so an absurd!!!

I was in Milan, Verona, Venice and Trieste. Central European influence is undeniable, both in architecture and the character and appearance of Italians in those regions.
