Free and independent Kurdistan is coming soon.

Kurds are mostly Sunni but Iranians are mostly Shia. They are not allies, except temporarily against common enemy ISIS.

US invested 1 trillion dollars in building new democratic Iraq. They don't want to conceive a defeat in this goal. US wanted a strong Iraq to counter act against powerful Iran. US bureaucrats can't admit that one strong Iraq is over. It has nothing to do with pleasing Arabs.[/QUOTE

About 10 million Kurds live in Iran. Nobody is talking about them having their own state. When you think that 250 000 slavisized Albanians that call themselves Montenegrins have a state, and 10 mill Kurds in Iran, or another 10 mill Kurds in Turkey, or 7 Mill Kurds in Iraq, or 2 million Kurds in Syria do not have a state, its kind of crazy. They do need a state. But the minute their state is created you will have Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey wanting to destroy them. So this could also be an obstacle for the US to recognize a Kurdish state. If US recognizes such a state it has to defend it. But countries against a Kurdish state have a combined population of 250 million people,

As a whole, the Kurdish people are adherents to a large number of different religions and creeds, perhaps constituting the most religiously diverse people of West Asia. Traditionally, Kurds have been known to take great liberties with their practices.

Mostly Sunni Muslim, but also Shia Muslim and Sufism with minorities of deism, agnosticism, Yazdânism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Judaism

Kurdish men and women participate in mixed-gender dancing during feasts, weddings and other social celebrations.IIRC, the government must be made up of a certain percent of women as well.

Let's start with smaller Kurdistan where is a chance for creating it. Right now Syria and Iraq don't exist anymore, that's why it is the easiest way to create Kurdistan first on these territories.
If possible, joining NATO would solidify Kurdistan existence. They would have guaranteed and strong protector.

@ Boreas

do not worry,
Pirro has not seen war in his lands for centuries,
soon they know how it is,
they will have the biggest civil war in Balkans ever
Instead of making conspiracy theories, could you elaborate more?
We are tired of your conspiracy theories. I don't think that in Turkey nor in Greece you guys sow yet any war within your countries.

Guys
this war will expand, soon,

it will pass to balkans soon enough,
Maybe it will come to Greece either! Don't worry for the Albanians, they are known for many good and bad stuffs, but certainly not for cowards.

I can't believe that US is still trying to help and rebuild Iraq, as it was a country. Iraq is gone forever, period. To really give a blow to ISIS is a promise from the US, West and UN to Sunnis of Iraq that they will receive their own and new country from Iraq-Sunni land. In this case they wouldn't need ISIS to protect them from Shia/Iran coalition. Also some framework is needed to work on Sunni Iraqi and Kurdish boarder. It should be worked out under multilateral UN umbrella for example. Otherwise, when ISIS is gone there will be Iraqi Sunni-Kurdish war about the lands of mixed ethnic element. With some farsightedness we could avoid a new conflict.
I am contrary this UN umbrella. We sow them in ex Yugoslavia. They are not capable for anything

For some reason Kurds are seen as potential Iranian allies. And that is a big problem. Although I am not specifically sympathetic to Kurds I do support their efforts for independence. An ethnic community of that size without a country is not right.
US is not in a favorable position to support Kurdish independence since in the Arab world it will be seen as not a friendly move by the US against another Arab country. Arabs are a big community in the are which are projected that in two decades to number maybe 600 million souls.
Yes, good observation. But don't see all the Arabs as a unified entity. They are different from each other. A Moroccan is different from a Saudi Arab.

Kurds are sunny, but not all of them as far as I know. Some of them are Shiites. Don't forget that they are liberal Muslims rather then the Arabs. This is a point which convince the Americans to support them

There is no win win

Strong Kurdistan in Russian Pact will displease Iran and Strong Kurdistan in NATO will displease Turkey.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope, there will be no millitary pact on that day.
Greece and Turkey had many problems, but their are both NATO members . So I don't see any problem.

They helped Israel there. Against Israel was the entire region and Israel still survived. With the right help Kurdistan will be a strong state.

There is no need to be part of NATO to survive. Kosova is not a NATO member yet, but it's still ok

Would it be OK without NATO spanking Serbia for genocides?

not me, it is not touching me,

others do afraid it,

I think Erdogan's main objective is to use this war against Kurds to get a parliamentary majority. He will find a way to not allow Kurdish party into elections. And also this war could help to get some nationalistic voices on his side.

The new election is at 1st November.

Many people who is anti-Erdoğan think like that, however I don't think his policy can change anything. Because of the strong political polarisation, I don't believe that it works.

and also last polls confirm me. There is no big changes.
