Do you object to stickers supporting football teams on cars?
Do you object to someone sticking a national flag on a car?
How about banning stickers or posters of political allegiance that people seem to like to put up around election times who show who they support?
I don't like stickers on cars in general, but don't object to non-religious ones. You have to understand that for a convinced atheist (like me), it is insulting when someone preaches that "Jesus will save you", or "Allah is the only god". These are the intolerant people who do not respect other believes. I don't post stickers "God doesn not exist", as it would offend those who believe in god. Why should they have the right to tell me that I am wrong ? (because basically such religious stickers mean "you atheists are wrong", which is as insulting as to say "go to hell ******' infidel !"). I could only admit stickers, posters, veils, crucifixes, etc. if I am allowed to errect an edifice with a huge sign explaining why I believe that all religious people are mistaken and a personal god cannot possibly exist. But I am sure they would complain (or even destroy or vandalise that edifice or sign).
But what's the difference between my doing this and their doing what they do now ? So far, I am the tolerant one as I refrain from posting signs related to metaphysical/religious beliefs in public.
