Nice Map from Ancient Times @PT. Very cool. MTA is really innovative and is an excellent source of search for us to understand our ancient ancestry and the rout of ancient migrations and, of course, the admixture of populations.
 
Duarte: Thanks, it is really starting to show, with more samples, a strong source from Anatolia which would be consistent with me having predominate EEF type ancestry, confirmed via Deep Dive with Match with Otzi, etc. The Sicily Archaeological match is Sicilian_Bell Beaker sample I4930, which is major EEF type ancestry, so as you say, very innovative source on all the dimensions you indicated. While your posting, what is the best way to do a Y-DNA analysis that costs maybe less than Ftdna Big Y. I will eventually get around to Big Y next fall but now need to be a little more frugal given COVID-19 situation in USA is still "hot", as it is in Brazil.

Related to Y-DNA, when I put my Y-DNA I-M223 in MTA to get my Y-DNA matches, they define it as I2a1b (AM01925/CTS5614) which is downstream from I2a1. I-M223 is also placed in I2a2 (M436) as a downstream sub-clade of it (In Eupedia Tree). So where would you find the current classification of the Y-DNA tree other than say Ftdna's site which I am not a member. What is the best way to resolve this. When put your Y-DNA Haplogroup in the MTA Haplogroup analysis option, does it give you the same Y-DNA Haplogroup that other sites gives you.

That's right @PT. You are on the right track.
As for Y-DNA, MTA does not include the deepest subclades of all Haplogroups. In the case of my deepst R1b subclade there is nothing in the MTA that is downstream from R1b-DF27. See my tree. None of the subclades downstream of DF27 are recognized in the MTA, so I have to finish there in the MTA (until DF27).

It has I-M223 as subclade I-M436, which is what Maciamo's article has as well, so other than the difference in classification I noted above, it is in the right place. The Chart below does not have Time to Most Recent Common Ancestor (TMRCA) nor can I tell without doing some Deep Clade analysis if I am I-M223 without any additional variations or something further downstream. Is that correct? Going into Deep Y-DNA analysis is more of a recent thing with me, much more time has been spent in the past doing Ancestry Research with documentation back from Mother Land and autosomal ancestry analsysis, etc. Thanks for your help on the Y-DNA stuff, you and Salento are my two go two guys on this issue. MTA has me as I-M223 AM01925/CTS5614.

You are right Trapani. I tested FTDNA’s Y-13, Y-25, Y-37, Y-67 and Y-111. These tests based on STRs predicted my subclade as R1b-M269. Only the BigY-700, which tests more than 700 STRs and also the SNPs, was able to confirm my Haplogroupo further downstream. I have only one correspondence, and he is from Cordoba, Spain. TRMCA 2600 ybp (Iron Age).

... Although different from each other, the older Otzi, 2 Latins and SZ1 rank highly.

it shows that they're an important root of the genetic make up of many other samples, the peninsula, the islands, and me too :)
