Some people seemed to think their updated results and FTDNA results aligned. For that reason I post mine. It's interesting to get an isolated "Irish" value. Not knowing too much about British Isles genetics, distinguishing them by islands makes sense.

Perhaps this helps to predict the new results. Although clearly FTDNA is about 10% off.

It is possible you already have it?

If I remember seeing your results, your Irish, Welsh, Scottish looked different from the typical (original) results.

A small selection of people did receive it.
Maybe but It sounded like to me it was another update entirely

My initial guess is you have it. You should be able to check your version if you do have it. And it would be v2.5. Otherwise your version is default.

I'll try to find the link, or if you want to look, it has something to do with the three dots/bars

Says V2 down in the bottom right corner

Interesting. But maybe that doesn't necessarily exclude the 0.5. If you check the actual version number, my honest understanding was that all who received 2.0 received 2.5. But that might be because those who receive it, are naturally those who post

^ are those other countries real?

Like im about 1% dutch and 1% Egyptian?

On the whole, I would say this update is a nice improvement. As they’ve now identified my Italian ancestry and where they’re a little off, the reasons are understandable. I’ve included my suggested corrections in the attachment below.

Do you find this My Heritage Update as good as, or better than, your Ancestry.com results?
I'm not sure.
There are discrepancies among SNPs in my raw data. For example, over 100 rsIDs between AncestryDNA and 23andMe have allele mismatches. I'm not referring to interchangeable alleles (e.g., AC/CA) but rather actual differences like AC / AA
Additionally, there is a discrepancy in one chromosome allocation.

So, I guess it depends on the raw data uploaded and which company's raw data takes precedence when creating a combined kit.

Chromosome discrepancy:
rs4884357 1
rs4884357 13

The two Italian percentages (1.3% & 1.6%) are real in my case and probably under reported. As I do have Italian ancestry. Generally, I would ignore 1% readings unless I knew I had ancestry from the area in question.

My results are processing for another few hours. Wanted to try and guess based on looking at people's new results

[Guess]
50% English
15% Irish
15% Swedish
10% Welsh, Scottish
5% Baltic
2.5% Finnish
2.5% Breton

Breton seems extremely common for isles now and one person with 7% had known ancestry

Breton is extremely common for everyone now, I got 3.3% eventho im from Spain

Spain results as well. It's hard to say, I'm not sure of the genetic impact or history of Bretons. However it seems values 7+% might actually be indicating trackable ancestry. I expect I'll be in the common trace category of below 4%
