e-v13 is not that rare in russia

Well. Corruptions of names and surnames are not uncommon as individuals and families move between regions or countries. Families surnames as Zelenka, Zelena, Zelenský, Zelené, Zielinski, Żeleński, Zelenski, Selensky may have a common geografic origin. It would be an irony of fate if both Zelensky and Putin were E-V13.

Zelenskyj is very unlikely to be E-V13, since he is Ashkenazi Jewish. There is just one big founder lineage of Ashkenazi for E-V13: https://discover.familytreedna.com/y-dna/E-BY77657/tree
It likely came from a Central European proselyte (German, Czech or Polish I guess).
However, its present in Russo-Ukrainian Ashkenazi Jews, so I guess there is a slim chance for Zelenskyj or some of his relatives for being V13 too.

The Zielinski from the project you had in mind is under:

He is therefore not in the Jewish branch, but it rather looks like an ethnic Polish/West Slavic one at first glance.

Zelenskyy is very likely J1....I read that on either Discord or GenArchivist before.

posted today by pribislav at genArchivist :

Both Obrenović dynasty of Serbia and Petrović-Njegoš dynasty of Montenegro belong to clade E-V13>Z5017>CTS9320>BY4526 (TMRCA 1200/1100 BC).

side note from what i know is one of mangers or very active user at serbian dna forum
so he is a reliable person don't think he makes things up here

I looked at the BY4526 first and immediately thought about those two lineages which look rather Vlach to me, and then after checking, they indeed belong to those two. I guess they are Vlach lineages. Z5017 is very strong among Vlachs.

Also remarkable how many ancient DNA samples from Hungarian Avars one branch has:

I wouldn't count on it. Jews are more than just J1 and J2 (the rest are 57-70% of E/Q/R/G/K*/etc). And if you've gotten it on Discord or GenArchivist it's more so speculation than anything else.

Hi
According to syria yseq user at twitter :
That famous lebanese family is under
e-m78>v22

@DNASyria
The results of the Gemayel family, one of the most prominent Maronite families in the town of Bikfaya, Metn District, Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon, have emerged.

Among them is the 65th Maronite Patriarch, Philip Boutros Gemayel.
Among them is the founder of the Kataeb Party: Pierre Gemayel and his two sons, the presidents of Lebanon during the civil war, Bashir and then Amin Gemayel.

The family carries the E-V22 lineage of the E-M78 mutation.

The family carries the legacy of their migration from Aleppo and northern Syria to Zahle and the Bekaa, and then to Bikfaya. Pierre's father emigrated with his family from Bikfaya to Egypt in 1914 due to their opposition to the Ottoman Empire. They were considered to be from the Levantines of Egypt (an Egyptian term used to describe Christian families of Levantine origin who migrated to Egypt during the modern Ottoman period). They then returned to Bikfaya after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

This person is under e-m78>v12

The result of the Frangieh family in the city of Zgharta in Lebanon appeared to be the mutation E-CTS6667, which is a branch of E-V12 of the E-M78 lineage.
Among them was the fifth President of Lebanon: Suleiman Frangieh.

This person is under e-m78>v65

The results of the examination of the Suleiman family in the town of Amsheet in the Jbeil district in Lebanon, which includes the twelfth President of Lebanon, Michel Suleiman, showed that they had the mutation E-FTE34998, which is a branch of E-V65 of the E-M78 lineage.

According to the syrian y seq user at twitter
This famous lebanese writer and poet was under e-m78>v12

The result for the Al Gibran family in Bsharri, Lebanon, tested positive for the E-CTS6667 mutation from E-V12 of the E-M78 haplogroup. The sample belongs to a relative of the philosopher Gibran Khalil Gibran.

Honestly
Nice to see the presence of e-m78 downstreams like e-v12 and e-v22 among maronites christian 👍

According to syrian y seq- kardashian are under e-m84 : ( yes all of his famous daughters lol:))

his quotes:

Sample of the Kardashian family on the S11956 mutation from the E-M84 lineage:
E-M96>CTS9083>P147>P177>P2>M215>M35>Z827>CTS10298>PF1962>M123>M34>L795>S11835>S12033>S11956
Same Family

p.s
probably if farther testing they are under e-pf6751 or e-fgc18353

a paternal relative of this Tunisian poet Aboul-Qacem_Echebbi took a test
at least family finder( which nowadays assign basic y haplogroup)
any way his basic assignment is e-m34>z841>L791>Y2947

the person:

this branch in ftdna discover:

p.s
it is likely that if his paternal relative would take big y-700
he would fall on more specific Arabian branch which might arrived to Tunisia with Arabic expansion in 7th century
since e-y2947 also have small branches in southern Europe ,Russia ,turkey, Arabia

according to Syrian yseq user at twitter :
Scientific Genetic Reading on the Origins of the Nasrallah Family

Announcement of the release of documented genetic testing results for the Nasrallah family from the Shiite sect in the village of Bazouriyeh, Jabal Amel, Tyre District, South Lebanon. The tested sample belongs to Khayr al-Din bin Ibrahim Nasrallah, from the same family to which the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, belongs, and it underwent Y-DNA analysis to trace the paternal genetic lineage according to the scientific standards adopted in population genetics studies.
The Genetic Result: The Paternal Haplogroup E-V13

The genetic results show that the paternal line of the Nasrallah family belongs to the paternal haplogroup E-V13, a specific lineage within the male genetic structure (Y-DNA) used in genetic studies to track direct paternal affiliation across generations. This haplogroup is:
•A branch of E-M78
•And E-M78 descends from E-M35
•All of which fall under haplogroup E

p.s
i didn't knew e-v13 was present in Lebanon i always thought most e-m78 cases there are : e-v22 , e-v12
in that aspect it is an unexpected result to be honest

Actually there are multiple Lebanese and Syrian, as well as other Arab E-V13 samples. The dominant group in the Near East is the main South Thracian branch E-BY5022, which points to rather ancient (Sea Peoples, Thraco-Phrygian movements, Greco-Roman etc.) migrations. But especially Lebanon has a couple of more recent branches too, which implies Roman and post-Roman (Crusader and Ottoman period). Exact branch would be interesting as always.
Like pointed out, some Lebanese branches could be very old, like Sea Peoples/Philistines old.

I always suspected he was e1b1b1
I am not surprised he is e1b1b1 just e-v13 was
Little shocking
But since you are expert on e-v13
And you say that there are downstream of it in syrian and lebanese
So it is what it is
I know autosomal dna influnce appearnce
But
Contrary to putin and hitler (Which chances are 99.99% fall under e-v13)
I do see the e1b1b1 med features very clearly in him.

Genetically, phenotypical traits are not directly correlated with haplogroups and all local Lebanese have some sort of Pre-Arab admixture. Christians, Alevites, Shia and Druze just a bit more than Sunni Muslims, which mixed more with outsiders.

and the example: putin hitler vs Nasrallah show it extremely well

p.s
i now looked at ftdna the country frequency section of e-v13
so according to there current data base
and it is 2% in lebanon 13/652 so it is not 0% something like i thought before
it is definitely present in lebanon even if low % it still there

The new study suggests that Leonardo da Vinci might have belong to haplogroup E1b1b. They tested the DNA recovered from various items and artifacts having belong to him, but they cannot be sure that the DNA is his, although it is likely.
