Being southern Spanish the only explanation I give you is to have ancestors Visigoths.


Were they the visigoths, nordic or Germanic?

Do the Visigoths had that haplogroup R1B1B2a1a?

Will my haplogroup is reflected in my phenotype?

Or simply the explanation is a rare mutation?

Most common in Italy but quite present in eastern and shouthern Spain due to the Roman Empire presence in this area for at least 3 centuries. I imaging this Y haplogroup is ostrogothic more than visigothic. Some Illiryans were also Rb1 and these moved to eastern Italy by the mid - or end- of the Roman Empire. My father is Puertorrican descendant from Spanish colonization in Puerto Rico.
