LeBrok: Many countries react in various ways from compassionate, indifferent to paranoiac like Hungary.
"
Claims from Hungary have since declined dramatically, after it was designated by Canada as one of the “safe countries” in late 2012 for expedited processing of claims. Last year, only 400 claims came from Hungary, according to the Immigration and Refugee Board.
“Even though Roma do not need a visa to come to Canada, they are kept out of the country. This is a form of discrimination, an example of racial profiling by the Canadian government,” said Gina Csanyi-Robah, the alliance’s co-founder and executive director.
For Hungarian Roma hoping to be accepted by Canada as refugees, the outcome is pretty much a crap shoot.
So who is paranoid?
I see statements like this in the forum all of the time. Gyms is clearly not familiar with the common phrase "correlation does not imply causation". He incorrectly assumed that Canada is choosing immigration through race based on the statistics.
But he does not realize that the Canada selects immigrants based on social standing and level of education achieved. We are not the US, the majority of our immigration is not family immigration. The Canadian government simply nitpicks the best of the best immigrant applicants from the country to accept in. .
What Europe should do with refugees crisis? I don’t know but what I see today is terrifying:
Friday, October 14, 2022. Border of Greece with Turkey. Rescue of 92 naked immigrants.
Greece and Turkey exchange barbs for rescue of 92 naked migrants.
All were men, among whom were children: Shame.
Here's an observation. Like a lot of other places/countries Greece has or will have a population decline due to lower birth rate. On top of as the old people die off the villages and small towns are emptying out since the young people are moving to the cities. So who will work the fields. There are things that can be automated but other cannot. Some crops have to picked by hands. Do we import temporary workers? What happens when they do not want to leave? As the villages and small towns empty out do we then settle for the kind of corporate farming that is happening elsewhere?
Neither was heracles but they started claiming he was greek.hm GREEK?
Yes, oh No, Yes indeed, Oh No ..........
