Karlsruhe Palace.
Introduction
Unprepossessing in itself, Karlsruhe was built around its sumptuous palace, with 32 streets radiate from the palace like the ribs on a folding fan.
The palace was erected in 1715 by Margrave Charles III William of Baden-Durlach, who gave his name to the city he founded. It now houses the eclectic Badisches Landesmuseum (Baden State Museum).
Opening Hours & Admission
The Baden State Museum is open all year round, daily (except Mondays) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (to 6:00 pm from Friday to Sunday, and public holidays). The last amdission is one hour before closing time.
Admission is 4 € for adults, 3 € for concessions, 0.5 € for students, and free for children. Admission is free foe everyone on Fridays between 2 pm and 6 pm (excluding special exhibits).
